Dr. Chris Bays and his wife, Janelle, a dental hygienist both received their dental degrees from the University of Minnesota and are proud San Antonio residents. Outside of work, he is an avid offshore fisherman.
Dr. Gomez attended The Ohio State University College of Dentistry where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 2015. Her greatest joy is getting to know her patients at a personal level.

They are the best I have ever been to. Love the staff and the wonderful care they take of you. I have been scared of the dentist all my life due to bad experience when I was a child. They put your fears at ease and I do not get scared or stressed when I know I have an appointment. They listen and show that they care about you. To be honest, I was a little scared at first since it was my first visit, but everyone was so nice! The doctor and hygienist were detail-oriented and great. They helped remove all my stains and did a thorough check.

I had a fantastic experience at the dentist. The hygienist was so gentle and did a great job cleaning my teeth. X-rays, which often hurt me because of the shape of my mouth were pain-free. The dentist also did an outstanding job. All in all a great experience!

Dr Gonzalez was awesome. She didn’t rush through things or push me any direction for a plan other than the way I was comfortable. The Leon springs staff was awesome. The front desk girls were kind and professional. I was nervous about the dental work I need but Dr Gonzalez simplifies things and the hygienist did the same thing. They all work well together.

My husband, kids, and I have all recently started using My Hometown Dentist. My husband needed extensive dental work and initially came here for a second opinion- they did the work needed for half the price of the original dentist and did a good job. The hygienists and Dr. Gomez have done a great job with my kids’ dental work and I’ve been happy with mine too. Overall this has been a great dentist for our family.

This was my first visit, and although it was a rather long wait, the dentist was extremely apologetic and very appreciative of my patience. The office staff was very friendly and the hygienist offered me a water while I waited. Dr. Gomez was very thorough and helpful. She was nice enough to call the oral surgeon and make an appointment for me-they were able to take me right away. They didn’t even me charge me for my visit. I know my previous dentist would have! I will definitely be going back to get my teeth cleaned and will be sending my family there as well. I highly recommend them!
Today was my first experience at Hometown. Reception was welcoming, kind, and diligent. The clinic staff explained every process as they went through x-rays, scaling, cleaning, and photos. Oral issues were raised, and discussed in full detail. The Dr. reviewed the items raised by the assistants. I was given a full oral assessment of mouth tissue including tongue, throat, and gums. Check out was quick and easy.
