You know, sleeping is a basis for, you know, health in the human body in general. It requires that time to rest, and relax, and adjust, and reset, and heal. And it’s important if you have sleep apnea, or you have snoring. Those types of things can all lead to mild versions of sleep apnea versus severe cases of sleep apnea. There’s lots of things that we can do on the dental side that can get you away from, you know, the CPAP. By doing different types of appliances, we can go ahead and move the jaw further forward to open up that airway and allow you to get a perfect night’s sleep. There are different opportunities with different types of appliances that we use.
Quality of sleep is very different for myself, even to my wife. Usually, the biggest takeback comes from the spouse of one or the other because, at that point in time, they’re allowing them to rest more because they’ve stopped snoring. It requires waking up fewer times in the evening to wake up and maybe go to the bathroom or something like that. A lot of those different things are related to sleep apnea where your body naturally moves or adjusts. Different factors can go away because of sleep apnea appliance.
