Dr. William Dunn is an Experienced Dental Expert

Dr. William Dunn graduated from The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in 1986 with the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Award. He entered the United States Air Force in 1987 and completed a thirty-year career as a Dental Officer, retiring as Colonel in 2017. During that time, he completed a two-year residency in comprehensive dentistry and is a Board-Certified Diplomate by the American Board of General Dentistry. He completed a certificate program in dental biomaterials at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He has also completed the Medical Ethics program at the University of Washington and the Kennedy School of Bioethics at Georgetown University.

Dr. Dunn served for ten years as the Air Force Surgeon General’s Consultant in Medical Ethics. He has been a Program Director for the largest AEGD-1 Dental Residency in the Air Force and served as a Training Officer for the Air Force’s premier residency program in General Dentistry at Lackland Air Force Base. Dr. Dunn was the Primary Dental Officer during his two deployments to the Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates. He was awarded the Legion of Merit upon his retirement. After retirement, Dr. Dunn has been in private practice and volunteers at the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic at the Haven for Hope.
